Acceptable use policy
Effective October 8, 2026.
Skeebert learns its language from what people send it and guess, so what people send is a shared space. These rules keep it one worth learning from, and keep everyone on the right side of Discord's rules.
Don't poison the language
Don't use messages or guesses to feed Skeebert spam, slurs, hate speech, harassment, threats, sexual content involving minors, sexual content about anyone without their consent, instructions for causing harm, or anything illegal. Don't type junk in bulk to skew what the glyphs come to mean. Guesses are the training data, so honest guesses are the whole point. Trying to teach it awful meanings on purpose is the one unforgivable move.
Don't put other people's private info in
Everything you send is kept and sent to the brain (see the privacy policy). Don't paste in other people's private messages or personal information: names tied to addresses, phone numbers, or anything that identifies a real person who didn't agree to it. That goes for guesses too. Keep your own sensitive details out as well; you can always delete with /skeebert privacy, but prefer not to send it at all.
Don't use Skeebert to break Discord's rules
No using the bot to harass people, evade server moderation, spam channels, or get around content a server has banned. The Discord Community Guidelines apply to what you do with Skeebert.
Don't abuse the machinery
No flooding the bot with automated traffic, scripted guesses, or coordinated attempts to skew what it learns. Skeebert is meant to learn from real people playing.
What happens if you don't follow this
Contributions that break these rules get removed and excluded from future training. Repeat or serious offenders get ignored by the bot entirely, and where Discord's rules require it, reported through Discord's own channels.
Seeing something bad
If Skeebert shows something harmful, or you spot abuse, tell us: github.com/frgmt0/skeebert.
